The Rasmus

The Rasmus was formed at the end of 1994 when the band still in high school and they were first called Sputnik, and then
eventually Antilla Rasmus.
In 1995, the band Oranssi Club where they are observed by Teja Kotilainen which now is their manager. Their first single was released through 1st Tega G. Records in late 1995 and they moved it to the attention of record company Warner Music Finland.
They spent their first album Peep from when they were 16 years old. It was a golden plate immediately, while they occurred in more than 100 shows in Finland and Estonia.
In 1997, their second album Rasmus Play Boys from that gold was also in Finland, with the single Blue (including gold).

Chill was the second single released throughout Scandinavia and reached the number 2 position in Finland. The Rasmus toured through Scandinavia and Europe as a program for HIM and Roxette. In March 2001, the Emma Awards Show and The Rasmus issued four wins - Best Group - Best Pop / Rock Album - Best Album - Best Song (FFF-Falling)
The band took Dead letters in 2003 in the Nord Studios in Sweden again with producers Mikael Nord Andersson and Martin Hansen who also had produced Into. It was released in Europe in early 2003 and topped the charts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland as well as in Finland. The European success led to the release of the album in other parts of the world. Dead letters and his first single in the shadows and reached the top 10 and top 3 in England (there were 3 video clips from the hit made). Guilty, the second single for the American market, was also been successful.

Their latest album is Hide from the sun, published in 2005. With the singles No Fear, Sail away and shot, which was released on April 21.
In September 2008 came from their latest album, Black Roses. The album has some old Rasmus melodies and the album in collaboration with Nightwish! Already released single "Livin in a world without you."
